Henry H. Ngan is the Founder and Managing Partner @ HHN Capital LLC.  A senior international investment and financial executive (Investments & CFO) and a FinTech expert, a hands-on strategic leader with nearly 30 years of progressive, data-driven professional management experience.  Henry has demonstrated the ability to lead, coach, consult and direct teams to make business impact.

A Speaker, Lecturer and Thought-Leader, and an Expert Advisor in FinTech and Forward-Thinking Innovation research areas.  Expert subject matter includes: FinTech, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, DeFi, Blockchain, Crypto-assets, Big Data, Digital Transformation, Finance, Capital Markets, Portfolio Management, Investment Management, Risk Management and Accounting & Auditing.

Henry is also a Lecturer / Instructor for the Wharton School of the University at Pennsylvania and other well-known universities on topics such as Leadership, Emerging Technology and Finance.

Previously at ZST Digital Networks, Inc. (in China), Henry served as the Chief Financial Officer.  He also served as the Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary for Highpower International, Inc. (NasdaqGM: HPJ) (in China), his responsibilities include proven leadership in guiding the entire finance department, equity and debt financing, financial management and planning, reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning.  Prior to HPJ, he worked on Wall Street as an equity analyst in both buy-side and sell-side research.  His involvement in security analysis includes both a generalist and specialist capacity covering both domestic and foreign securities.  Henry also has worked in the accounting, auditing and consulting areas before attending business school for his Master of Business Administration.  He also has extensive experience in security analysis, portfolio management, asset allocation, accounting, auditing, consulting and valuation analysis.

Henry has been providing financial and strategic business advice to emerging technology startups.  He is an expert judge at Global Unicorn Cup (for startups), mentor at RISE (by Barclays – the Home of FinTech) and Fordham Foundry (for startups) and a panel judge for various global accelerators and incubators.

Board membership

Served as an independent Board of Director for Nutrastar International, Inc. (a U.S. listed company: NUIN) from 2010 – 2015.  Chaired the Audit Committee, and a Member of both the Compensation Committee and Governance and Nominating Committee.

Education & Credentials

Henry received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University at Albany, State University of New York, and an MBA in Finance, and IT Strategy from Fordham University Gabelli School of Business.  He has also obtained Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, and FinTech specialization at the Wharton School of the University at Pennsylvania and Applied Data Science at MIT.  Henry has also attended Columbia Business School Executive Education in Value Investing program with Professor Bruce Greenwald, “Guru to Wall Street Gurus”.  He has completed completed the FinTech: Blockchain & Beyond Program at Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB: 長江商學院), one of the top & premier graduate business schools in China.  Henry is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the State of New York, has successfully completed both Level I & II of the CFA examinations.  He is proficient in reading and writing in Chinese, fluent in speaking both Mandarin and Cantonese.
